About St. Peter’s General Hospital

Hospital Introduction

Since its founding in 1992, St. Peter’s General Hospital has continued to grow alongside advances in medicine. Throughout more than three decades of change and development, one principle has remained unchanged: to understand each patient’s condition accurately and determine the most appropriate course of treatment.

Advancing Care Through Experience and Expertise

Building on our core strengths in neurosurgery, orthopedics, and spine care, we have expanded our clinical expertise to include neurology, general surgery, and specialized care for thyroid and breast conditions.

Our experienced specialists work together across disciplines to provide coordinated care based on each patient’s individual needs. To support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning, the hospital is equipped with advanced medical technology, including 3.0T and 1.5T MRI systems and a 640-channel MDCT scanner.

Comprehensive, Patient-Centered Care

Today, St. Peter’s General Hospital provides comprehensive care for a wide range of conditions affecting the spine, joints, nervous system, cardiovascular system, kidneys, thyroid, and breast. The hospital also operates a 24-hour Emergency Department and provides an integrated nursing and caregiving service to support patients throughout their hospital stay.

Moving Forward

Building on the experience and expertise we have developed over the years, we will continue to strengthen collaboration across specialties and advance our medical systems and technology.

Our commitment is to listen to our patients, provide appropriate care for their individual needs, and remain a trusted healthcare partner.

Park Kwan Tae

Hello, I am Kwan Tae Park, Director of the International Medical Center at Gangnam Peter’s Hospital.

I have built my clinical expertise in vascular surgery and organ transplantation through my work in transplant surgery and transplant vascular surgery at Asan Medical Center and Korea University Anam Hospital. I subsequently spent more than 10 years providing medical care in Mongolia, where I participated in patient care and the development of local surgical systems. I also contributed to the training of healthcare professionals by educating surgeons at the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences.

Through caring for patients in diverse healthcare settings in Korea and abroad, I have learned that quality medical care requires not only professional clinical judgment but also an understanding of each patient’s healthcare environment and cultural background, supported by clear and thoughtful communication.

Receiving medical treatment in another country can bring many concerns, including language and cultural differences, unfamiliar healthcare environments, and uncertainty about the diagnosis and treatment process. At the International Medical Center of Gangnam Peter’s Hospital, we strive to ease these concerns and carefully support international patients throughout every stage of their medical journey.

Regardless of nationality or language, we are committed to ensuring that each patient receives the medical care they need through clear communication and coordinated support, while providing patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s circumstances.
